Golden Rules Of Life

Life is beautiful and we want to make the most of it. We all want our lives to be meaningful and rewarding. Some people take life too seriously, some take it as as an adventure or journey or some a celebration. The choices we make in our lives decide our lives. But ultimately we want to achieve success in our lives. We can only progress in our lives if we follow the golden rules. The golden rules help us to guide and follow the right path. Here are some golden rules discussed.

Discipline- Discipline is very important. If we are not disciplined we will miss our bus, arrive late to the office or school and our routine will be disturbed. Suppose if we are preparing for a competitive exam then our sole objective is to work hard in a disciplined way. Take the example of American businessman and CEO of Hathaway Warren Buffet who is so successful because of his disciplined life.

Values-  We should have good values and beliefs. Values define our personality. Values teach us to perform noble deeds in our lives. Take the example of a famous personality like Mother Teresa, she had very high human values. She devoted her whole for the cause of the poor, needy, and sick. Her great works are admired by everyone. We must also cultivate good values in our lives that help us to stand out and gain respect in society.

Curiosity – We should be curious. We must always have the urge to know more and more. Like Charles Darwin, with curiosity, he discovered the theory of evolution.

Will Power – We must have strong willpower to succeed in life. Suppose we face a difficult situation in life we fall sick or meet with an accident then with strong willpower we can overcome all adversities. To accomplish any great task, we must have strong willpower. Like our father of nation Mahatma Gandhi, he freed us from the clutches of British rule with this strong will. He organized the Dandi March, Namak Satyagraha, and gave us independence.

Humbleness – We must learn to be polite and humble then we are much liked by others. This trait helps us to achieve any goal in life. For example, Sursa tried to obstruct the way of Lord Hanuman by stretching herself. Hanuman too stretched himself into an enormous form. After that Hanuman transformed himself into his original form. This made Sursa happy. Therefore, only having competence does not lead to victory. Humbleness is equally important.

Courage – We must display courage in our lives then we can face any situation. Like Rani Laxmi Bai, the queen of Jhansi. She fought bravely with the Britishers, in the struggle of India’s independence.

Patience – We must have patience in our lives to attain peace and prosperity. Like lord Ram, he was given 14 years of exile by his father Dashratha. He patiently spent the years and later happily returned to Ayodhya. Whatever debacle we may face but with patience we can surpass any difficult situation.

Leadership – If we have leadership traits within us we can make a difference. Like Swami Vivekanand, he inspired the youth, he worked toward the upliftment of women. He spread Vedanta in the West and preached Hinduism. With his leadership qualities, he impressed the youth and became a youth leader. With knowledge, character, and good qualities we can develop leadership within us that would help us to grow in our lives.
